Heroes of the Storm Cinematic Trailer!

It started off as Blizzard All Stars and recently underwent a name change to Heroes of the Storm. Whatever it’s called, it doesn’t matter! The new trailer for Blizzard’s answer to League of Legends & DOTA 2 was unveiled today and it looks freaken awesome! Arthas! Diablo! Oh my!

New Anime Get! – Log Horizon

It’s always nice to stumble on to something by accident and that something turns out to be something really awesome! I was doing my weekly search for the latest episode of Naruto Shippuden when I happened to click on to a page listing their recommendations for the new season of anime starting in Japan. Having recently discovered the new Gundam Build Fighters series thanks to a recommendation from Tim, I figured I’d take a look to see if they had anything to recommend that would suite my tastes. Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

So last week, I came home from work and was greeted by email from Blizzard telling me that I was now able to participate in the Hearthstone closed beta test. Now as an avid World of Warcraft player (I’ve been playing since 2005), I’m used to receiving many a phishing email from would be gold farmers trying to obtain my precious log in details so they can hack my account, so I took said beta invitation email with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, I casually logged into my Battle.net account and much to my surprise, the invitation was genuine! So I immediately started the 1.3gb (I think?) download, waited patiently for it to complete and then jumped right in! Continue reading →

Pokemon X & Y: It’s Super Effective!

So if you’re even remotely interested in either the Pokemon TV series or the Pokemon video games, then you’ll most likely be aware that the latest edition to the Pokemon video games, Pokemon X & Y, hit store shelves over the weekend. If you haven’t had the opportunity to pick yourself up a copy yet, do yourself a favour and grab one ASAP as it is absolutely fantastic! If I had to use a strange gaming analogy, Pokemon X & Y is to the Pokemon series what Final Fantasy VII was to the Final Fantasy series. It takes everything that was good, makes it better and is a significant upgrade to the previous games!
